QUICKBOURN ist das Projekt der beiden Hamburger Musiker
Thomas Kirschler und
Christian Meyer-Pedersen (adMeyer), die sich 2006 bei
einer Bandsession trafen.
So unterschiedlich ihr musikalischer Hintergrund auch
ist, fanden sie bald den
gemeinsamen Stil, der ihre Musik so unverwechselbar
prägt: Melodischer Rock mit
progressiven Elementen.
Den Background von adMeyer bildeten hauptsächlich
Stilrichtungen wie Jazz, Blues
und Soul. Seit den späten Achtzigerjahren verfolgt
er seiner Berufung als Komponist
und Sänger. Als musikalische Grenzgänger
gründeten beide das Projekt
QUICKBOURN und mit den Früchten ihrer Zusammenarbeit,
den Songs von Beyond
Ground Zero, wollen sie jetzt vor ein weltweites Publikum
treten.
QUICKBOURN is the collaboration of the two Hamburg
musicians Thomas Kirschler
and Christian Meyer-Pedersen (adMeyer) who met at a
band session in 2006. As
different as their musical backgrounds may be they
soon discovered those common
grounds of which their songs give a true reflection:
Melodic rock with progressive
elements.
adMeyer‘s musical background was coloured mainly
by jazz, blues and soul. In the
late 80ies he started his musical career as a composer
and singer. Always looking
for new boundaries to be crossed both started QUICKBOURN
and the results of
their collaboration - the songs of Beyond Ground Zero
- are now ready to meet
listeners throughout the world!
